Trading Block Blues: Ladainian Tomlinson

"I could see the writing on the wall. I knew I had played my last game in San Diego!"  Ladainian Tomlinson said in an interview late last month with frustration and sadness in his voice. Since then, a whirlwind of speculation and rumor has kicked into full tilt.

It is easy to see why his emotions have run high. The fall from the top of the mountain to the depths of the valley come in ultra fast forward in the NFL.

The thought of LT leaving the Chargers at the end of 2006 was far from the realm of anything Chargers fans thought possible. He left that season on top of the NFL mountain, with an MVP trophy and numerous rushing records to his credit.
