Stick with Alex Smith, 49ers: Montana and Young Aren’t Walking Through That Door

During last night's game against the Philadelphia Eagles, chants of "We want Carr" rang throughout Candlestick Park.

I'm sorry, 49ers fans, but David Carr isn't the answer.

Alex Smith didn't play the prettiest of games, and his fumble that was returned for a touchdown by the Eagles put the team in a hole.

The chants grew louder and louder, and it appeared that coach Mike Singletary was going to give the fans what they wanted. 

However, after the TV timeout Smith marched back onto the field with boos cascading down on him. He answered his critics though and marched the 49ers down the field for a touchdown.
