Five Good Reasons The San Diego Chargers Aren’t Trading Vincent Jackson

The NFL offseason often turns into a Hollywood drama of emotional players and militant front office reps. The recent episode between the San Diego Chargers and Vincent Jackson has been no different. Not only is Jackson searching for a contract extension, having not yet signed his RFA tender, but he also pleaded guilty in to DUI in February, his second such plea during his NFL career, and will miss the first three weeks of the season due to suspension. The Chargers' recently announced that they don't have plans to trade their No. 1 receiver. Overall, I think this is a good decision, especially since it essentially means that Jackson will receive a long-term deal.
