Dodgers’ Sunday: Casey Blake Power’s Los Angeles Past Texas Rangers, 6-3
Casey Blake went 2-for-4 with four RBI as the Los Angeles Dodgers (42-22) took the rubber match against the Texas Rangers (35-27) on Sunday afternoon.
The Dodgers’ jumped on rookie Derek Holland (1-4) for an early 1-0 lead with Blake’s sacrifice fly in the first inning. They never let the youngster get comfortable and forced him into favorable counts. Holland walked four batters in five innings work.
Rafael Furcal handed Texas the lead in the bottom of the first when he turned a Nelson Cruz double play ball into two runs for the Rangers.
