Dodgers’ Gameday: First Place Showdown in Texas

Friday night the Los Angeles Dodgers will kick off their nine-game interleague road trip with a stop in Arlington, TX.

The three-game series will be the first meeting for the two teams sine 2001. The Dodgers took two out of three in Los Angeles that season.

Both teams remain atop their respective divisions. The Rangers (34-25), although slumping a bit in the last ten days, still lead the Angels by four and a half games in the AL West.

The Dodgers (40-21) still have the majors’ best record and are a comfortable eight games ahead of San Francisco.
