Jason Schmidt made his first start in more than two years as the Los Angeles Dodgers (59-34) beat the Cincinnati Reds (44-48) at Dodgers Stadium 7-5 on Monday night.
Vin Scully deemed it “A pier six brawl” after the wild first inning action but the scoring slowed after an explosive opening frame.
