Dodgers-Cardinals: Los Angeles Can’t Find Its Bats in 6-1 Loss

The Los Angeles Dodgers headed east to begin a seven-game road trip on Monday night. They began by taking on the St. Louis Cardinals and their ace Chris Carpenter.

Dodgers’ starter Randy Wolf gave up a run in the first and a run in the second but that was enough to earn him his fifth loss of the season, as the Dodgers lost for the third time in the last four days, falling 6-1 to the home town Cards.

L.A. is now just 3-15 against St. Louis (57-48) since the 2004 season.

It was an odd loss for the visiting Dodgers (62-37), as they collected 13 hits Sunday and 11 last night but suffered a defeat in both games, as they have left 17 men on base over the span of two games.
