San Jose Starts To Fill Out Roster

The San Jose Sharks started filling out the empty spots on their roster yesterday, resigning Torrey Mitchell, Brad Staubitz, and Benn Ferriero to a three-year deal, one-year deal and a two-year deal respectively.

Torrey Mitchell missed the entire season last year but did make a brief stop in the playoffs, and a rather shot stint of two games in the AHL. His previous statistics and accomplishments include in 2007-2008 he played the entire 82 game season accumulating 20 points, split evenly between goals and assists, a -3 rating and 50 penalty minutes.

Brad Staubitz adds a toughness to the sharks, standing tall at six-foot one-inch weighing in at 215 pounds. To date he has played 35 games in the NHL, all with San Jose adding up one goal, three points and 76 penalty minutes. ...
