San Jose Sharks Sign Trio to Contracts for Upcoming 2009-10 Season

San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the team has re-signed Group II restricted free agent forward Torrey Mitchell to a three-year contract. The Sharks also announced the signing of free agent center Benn Ferriero (FEHR-ee-oh) to a two-year contract and has re-signed Group II restricted free agent forward Brad Staubitz to a one-year deal.

In keeping with club policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Mitchell, 24, missed the 2008-09 NHL season due to a broken leg. He played in four games of 2009 Western Conference Quarterfinals versus Anaheim.
