With Chaz Schilens Out, Can Javon Walker Step Up For Oakland?

Chaz Schilens hopped on his right foot into the Oakland clubhouse during Tuesday's scrimmage with the San Francisco 49ers.

He came out on crutches with a boot on his left foot. It is being said that he broke his fifth metatarsal in his that foot.

Schilens seems to be just as dejected by the news as Oakland fans will be. Schilens has had the best camp of all the Raiders' players so far, and showed a real knack for big play ability in the preseason opener Thursday night.

“It’s just a sharp pain,” Schilens said. “Couldn’t run any more so I knew something was wrong. It is what it is.”

Schilens stated the only way he would play opening day was, "if God does a miracle."
