San Francisco 49ers: Why Troy Is the Best Smith for the 49ers
Troy Smith gives the 49ers the best chance to win this Sunday against the Rams. He's a good leader and actually tries to make plays. Alex Smith on the other hand is the complete opposite. He plays scared and would rather dump the ball off and hope his teammates make plays for him.
I will first start with why Alex is obviously not the option. To start things off, Alex has never done anything good. His 5-yard check-downs every pass play allows the opposing defense to play close to the line of scrimmage, which helps shutdown the running game too. He has absolutely no pocket presence, at the site of pressure he runs and usually runs himself into more pressure.
