San Francisco 49ers Sign Troy Smith

Troy Smith wasn’t a free agent for long. Today the 49ers announced they signed Smith to a one-year deal.

The move comes with mixed reactions. To make way for Smith, the 49ers had to release Nate Davis, whom many feel could be a future star.

Regardless, Troy has a new home after a bizarre stint in Baltimore. As announced previously, the Baltimore Ravens cut Troy. An illness sidelined him in 2008.
