Ranking San Diego Chargers’ Best Remaining Free-Agency Options

Free agency was all quiet on the Chargers home front.

To put it into perspective, while a handful of teams had the luxury of shopping at a high-priced designer store, the Chargers were relegated to a league-wide garage sale of sorts.

San Diego entered free agency with an estimated $5.8 million in cap space, according to Eric D. Williams of ESPN. Five players were retained and five new faces were brought in during the first week.

Restructured deals for Dwight Freeney, Jarret Johnson and Eddie Royal were done to save the team money, allowing some extra room for last-minute activity in free agency.
