JaMarcus Russell Admission of Drug Use Another Chapter in a Sad Story

In the classic 'A Bronx Tale,' Lorenzo (played brilliantly by Robert DeNiro) tells his son Calogero "the saddest thing in life is wasted talent."

Those of us who witnessed the JaMarcus Russell years in Oakland would have to agree.

Russell's recent arrest and admission of abusing codeine is just the latest chapter in a story that has gotten progressively sadder as each season has passed. 

Certainly, Russell had athletic ability. Incredible athletic ability. His arm was among the strongest ever seen.
