Bill Walsh vs. Mike Singletary: Contrasts by Comparison

For all the encouraging signs showing parallels between the young and rising 2010 San Francisco 49ers and the Cinderella 1981 49ers who shocked the world with the franchise's first Super Bowl title (many explored in a recent article), there is one area where the two squads differ dramatically: head coach. If you could find the polar opposite of Bill Walsh, that man might be Mike Singletary. Bill Walsh was a man who ascended to head coaching after never getting to chase his dream of playing quarterback.
