49ers vs. Saints: Previewing Friday’s NFL Preseason Matchup

The San Francisco 49ers travel to New Orleans on Friday, Aug. 12, to take on the Saints in Week 1 preseason action at the Louisiana Superdome. 

In a rematch of the Saints' 25-22 win over the 49ers in September of last season, the two teams will open their preseason schedules in a game that a month or so ago looked tenuous at best. 

The NFL's labor dispute had a chance of canceling preseason games, but the two sides came to an agreement on July 25th and all training camps opened on time.
