49ers Draft Day Three Shakedown

With the draft in the books, I'm very excited about the upcoming season. The 49ers drafted RB Anthony Dixon (MSST), TE Nate Byham (PITT), WR Kyle Williams (ASU), and CB Phillip Adams (SCSU), and when it all was said and done, the team signed undrafted free agent RB LaGarrette Blount (ORE).

Both Dixon and Blount showed great ability as power backs during their college careers, and will likely compete with Michael Robinson and Moran Norris for roster spots. Blount definitely had enough talent to be drafted in about the third or fourth round, however he punched a Boise State defensive lineman in the season opener last year and was suspended for the remainder of the year.
