2010 NFL Draft: How will the San Francisco 49ers Address Their Needs?

The San Francisco 49ers finished off the 2009 - 2010 at 8-8 (.500) in the NFC West. New head coach Mike Singletary is and always will be a defensive guy and that fact has not changed in his transition into coaching. They now are sure they have their franchise quarterback in Alex Smith as he really came on last season to lead this team. However, the protection in front of him could use a boost. On defense, their third down struggles continued to plague head coach Mike Singletary, and could have been due to the inconsistent and almost non-existent at times pass rush the 49ers were able to create or not create.
