Janis Carr of the Orange County Register had an update on Steve Nash's ailing back:

Steve Nash will see back specialist at 2 pm today. D'Antoni said his mood was normal -- upbeat

Later in the day, the Lakers provided a timetable for how much time Nash would miss:

Injury Update: Steve Nash has been diagnosed with having nerve root irritation. He is expected to be out of action a minimum of 2 weeks.
