Can Blake Griffin Change The Fate Of The Clippers?

Blake Griffin is one of the most hyped players to come out of college in the past decade.

In 2007-2008, in Griffin’s freshman year in college, he averaged 14.7 points and 9.1 rebounds per game and earned Big 12 First Team honors.

In his sophomore and final year in college Griffin was named the Naismith Award winner, John Wooden Award winner, Oscar Robertson Trophy and Sports Illustrated Player of the Year.

Griffin was selected with the first pick in this years NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Clippers.

Griffin played in the Summer League this offseason and was rewarded Summer League MVP.

Clippers may have a very surprising team this year. Marcus Camby, Baron Davis, and Al Thorton are all players that can also help the Clippers have a magical run that could possibly bring them into the playoffs.

Griffin will most likely be awarded with the NBA’s Rookie of the Year award and in the next couple of years I would not be surprised if Griffin becomes an All-Star.

Expect to see Griffin bringing the Clippers into the playoffs for many years to come. I may be going out on a limb here, but also don’t be surprised if after Kobe retires Griffin will be the face of Los Angeles basketball.

Griffin will be a great help to the Clippers organization who does have the ability to help the Clippers become contenders.
