The San Diego Padres’ Cameron Maybin Trade Is Paying Dividends

It was a trade that helped both the San Diego Padres and the Florida Marlins.

On Nov. 13, 2010, the Padres sent young relief pitchers Edward Mujica and Ryan Webb to the Marlins for 24-year-old Cameron Maybin.

Mujica is having a solid season in Florida with an 8-3 record, a 3.02 ERA and a Mike Adams like 0.868 WHIP, while Webb is 1-4 with a 3.67 ERA and a not-too-impressive 1.369 WHIP.

Meanwhile, Maybin may be reaching some of his potential.
