The Icing on the Cake Bob Geren Is Done in Oakland

The Oakland A's had a chance to build some momentum going into the all-star break. Specifically after Brett Anderson pitched a two-hit shutout against the Boston Red Sox.

In that game Anderson looked unhittable and in fact it was the first complete game by an A's pitcher in 151 games. Most of that has been due to the inexperience of the starting pitchers the A's have had take the mound.

Yet, you could make the argument a 6-0 shutout and a two-hitter would be an immediate momentum shift for the young A's, but it was not.

The A's are now on a three game losing streak after tonight's lost to the Tampa Bay Rays in Tampa.

It just goes to show that Bob Geren needs to be fired during the all-star break. Instead of playing like a team on a mission or at least trying ...
