SF Giants Trade Rumors: Team Smart to Set High Price on Tradable Players

It's no secret that the San Francisco Giants will be hard-pressed to make the playoffs this season, but that's no reason to start a fire sale and disband the team.

General manager Brian Sabean has reportedly set some steep prices on players that other teams have inquired about via trades.

Among the players most talked about as being potentially moved before the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline on Wednesday are outfielder Hunter Pence, starting pitcher Tim Lincecum and reliever Javier Lopez. 

The Giants, however, don't really want to let Pence or Lincecum go.
