Why Randy Winn is the Most Underrated Player in Baseball

Randy Winn was traded to the Giants in the middle of the 2005 season from the Seattle Mariners for Jesse Foppert and Yorvit Torrealba.  He has been a consistent producer, hitting over .300 in two of his three full seasons with San Francisco. 

His line of .273 BA, .328 OBP, and .405 SLG, with 2 home runs, 2 triples, and 18 doubles this season is decent (though he could hit for more power).  However, when you consider that he hit only .221 in April and improved mightily to .314  in May, and .286 in June, it’s looking like another productive year from Winn.
