Giant Win for Big Unit
Randy Johnson seemed to pitch almost effortlessly on Wednesday night to earn his 299th victory of his career. Through six innings, the Big Unit was locked in giving up only three hits, allowing no walks, and striking out five.
Three of those strikeouts came via Chipper Jones who despite striking out a total of four times yesterday still remains one of the most feared and technically sound hitters in the majors.
The outing is Johnson's second productive performance in a row and reiterates how devastating of a pitcher he has been throughout his career.
The win is a big one for the Giants who even up there record at .500 after having won their last three in a row.
