After the San Francisco Giants finished their 2012 World Series title defense with a record of 76-86 in 2013, general manager Brian Sabean declared that it was time to turn the page on the current group.

At the state of the franchise press conference last weekend, Sabean said, "It's safe to say the window, with the group at hand, is closed. Now we've got to create a new window immediately. And that's the task at hand."
