San Diego Padres All Time Deadline Trades

The Padres have had a long history of deadline trades, some as buyers, and more often as sellers. Inside, we will take a quick look at some of the more notable deals in Padre history. Above is Greg Vaughn, who represents one of the Padres best trades ever. Vaughn was acquired from the Milwaukee Brewers just before the deadline in 1996, for pitcher Bryce Florie, outfielder Marc Newfield and pitcher Ron Vilone. Vaughn helped lead the Padres to 2 division titles, a National League pennant and a World Series appearance during his time in San Diego. Vaughn was dealt away by the Padres in 1999, to the Cincinnati Reds for outfielder Reggie Sanders and infielder Damien Jackson....
