Josh Outman Continues to Impress, Oakland A’s Win 5-3

Josh Outman the Oakland A's rookie pitcher continues to impress. His only blemish of the night was in the bottom of the first inning to Jermaine Dye who smacked a two run homerun off of him.

The Chicago White Sox were able to score another run off of Outman, but it had to do with the defense and not anything that Outman did, like miss with a pitch. With runners on first and second with one out Brian Anderson hit a double play ball, but Adam Kennedy threw the ball away and it allowed Paul Konerko to score and Anderson to get to second.  

He ended up throwing the most pitches of his young career tonight in going 6.2 innings and that was 113 and he lowered his ERA on the season to 3.02 and improved to 3-0 on the season.
