Bob Geren continues to make head-scratching decisions after another incident where Gonzalez was in the game way too long.
Sure, if Gonzalez had made the play instead of throwing the ball away, the inning would have gone better for Gonzalez. However, he shouldn't have even been out there in the first place.
To say that Gonzalez was struggling is an understatement. Gonzalez wasn't fooling anybody except for Juan Uribe, which isn't saying much considering he swings at just about anything.
In the fourth inning, Gonzalez had already given up eight hits. It was only a matter of time before the Giants were going to take advantage of Gonzalez giving up multiple hits per inning.
