NEWS: Ramirez and Ortiz Said To Be On 2003 List of PED Users

 

According to NY Times reporter, Michael S. Schmidt, both Manny Ramirez and David Ortiz were among the 104 Major League players to test positive for performance-enhancing drugs in 2003, according to lawyers with knowledge of the results.

Ortiz, who spoke out vehemently against PED's over the course of the past season, would join the names of Barry Bonds, Alex Rodriguez, Sammy Sosa, Jason Grimsley and David Sequi, as those who have been confirmed to be amongst the list of 104.

Ramirez, who currently plays for the Los Anglese Dodgers, was Ortiz teammate for the 2003 Red Sox and formed the powerful three-four combination during the Red Sox World Series Championship in 2004.
