MLB Rumors: The SF Giants Should Extend Melky Cabrera’s Contract Now

Melky Cabrera has spent eight seasons in the MLB, but 2012 is proving to be his finest outing. 

Since joining the San Francisco Giants, he leads the league in hits (63) and also in triples (five).  His numbers are outrageous, especially considering that his home ballpark is now AT&T.  Consider his batting line: .360/.409/.509.  The guy can hit, and even more importantly, he nearly always gets multiple hits during a game.
