MLB All-Star Game: Time for a Change

Major League Baseball will be celebrating its 81st annual All-Star Game on July 13th in Angel Stadium of Anaheim.

Since 1935 the Midsummer Classic marks the symbolic halfway point of the season and is one of the most anticipated all-star games in sports.

In 2001, at a Major League Baseball journalistic forum during the All-Star Game in Seattle, it was proposed to change the format of the All-Star Game to a game similar to the current All-Star Futures Game.
