This is what baseball does. You think it's over. It's not. You think the team has given up. It hasn't. You think the slump is insurmountable. It isn't.

Yogi Berra couldn't have been more right when he stated: "It ain't over 'til it's over."

For the last two days, Andre Ethier has left me feeling like a 10 year old, jumping up and down and hollering as he turned two certain losses into classic and—dare I say it—magical victories.

These were two challenging wins, two games the team clearly should have lost. And yet, in a fashion that has become their signature, the Dodgers somehow, some way pulled it out.

This is why I love baseball more than any other sport, and why I can't wait for the summer nights to go ...
