Blake DeWitt Recalled by the Dodgers To Replace Eric Milton
Left-hander Eric Milton complained about his back aching this past weekend, so the Dodgers put him on the disabled list, recalling infielder Blake DeWitt from Albuquerque.
Milton, who was 2-0 with a 2.89 ERA in four starts, is eligible to return from the DL on June 21. DeWitt was batting .267 with two homers and 18 RBI in 38 games with the Isotopes.
Milton injured his back in his last start against the Philadelphia Phillies, and it became more noticeable when he was unable to cover first base in the third inning on a potential double-play ground ball.
