Freddy Sanchez Traded To San Francisco

Soon after an extra innings 1-0 loss to the Giants the Pirates told Freddy Sanchez to remain at AT&T ballpark instead of taking the flight with the team to Phoenix.

The Pirates sent Freddy Sanchez to the Giants in a one-for-one deal involving Tim Alderson.  Another great move by Neal Huntington and the rest of the front office.  Earlier in the day Sanchez sent a counter-offer to the Pirates for a three year deal worth 20 million dollars, and the Pirates rejected the extension.
