Brian Sabean: This Is All on You

During the course of the season, Giants fans have gotten to see some of the young players develop into legitimate ballplayers.

Pablo Sandoval, Nate Schierholtz, Eugenio Velez, Tim Lincecum, Matt Cain, Brian Wilson, and so forth.

Okay so the last few names were on the obvious side, but the trend is this: some of the core came through the minor league system and, with the chance for consistent playing time, they end up turning into what we are seeing.

So here's my question: What about Travis Ishikawa?

I don't think anyone is being hurt more by the Ryan Garko deal than Ishikawa.  I found it quite laughable when Brian Sabean stated that bringing Garko to the Bay wouldn't hurt Ishikawa's development.

Um, Brian, how could it not hurt him?
