The phrase "Manny being Manny" has been old to baseball fans outside what fools refer to as "the nation" in Boston and the numerous Los Angeles baseball "fans," who couldn't tell you a player's on-base percentage if it were written on a beach ball, for quite some time.

Manny Ramirez was entertaining and his antics made no sense, but he was always able to hit. He was a villainous type of athlete that you simply couldn't hate because, although his play and actions were mind-boggling, he was too darn good.
